Course: Recipes, MainWho knew?? I absolutely LOVE mayonnaise, but when you’re making the delicious unctuous concoction, you do realise just how much oil goes into a good mayo!
Inspired by this awesome site for baobab recipes, my baonaise uses our O’Bao Baobab Powder, which is harvested in Kibwezi and supports a community women’s group which has limited income sources. We love our baobab powder because it’s Kenyan, healthy and minimally processed. We ate it so quickly we didn’t manage to get a photo!
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup of water
1 clove garlic
1 tsp raw honey
1 1/2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 heaped tbsp baobab powder
1/2 cup canola oil
Directions
- Blend everything with half the water. Then slowly add more water until you have your desired consistency.Â
- Refrigerate until it’s thickened and then use lavishly knowing that it’s super healthy!!
