You are going to fall head over heels for these gorgeous 4 ingredient chocolate truffles.

Ingredients

  • 300g dark chocolate

  • 150ml whipping cream

  • 10g unsalted butter (makes them super creamy)


  • Topping ideas:
  • Cocoa powder

  • Desiccated coconut

  • Almonds/pistachios


  • Tip: Wash your hands with cold water between every few truffles to avoid sticking.

Directions

  • Roughly chop the dark chocolate and place it in a heat-resistant bowl.
  • Gently simmer double cream do not boil, when the edges of the pan start to bubble remove from the pan.
  • Pour cream over the chocolate and give it a gentle mix.
  • Allow it to sit for 1 minute then add butter and salt.
  • Whisk till it forms a smooth paste and then switch to a spatula to ensure it’s mixed.
  • Freeze the mixture for 30 minutes. If it’s still soft leave it in the freezer for another 10 to 15 minutes. If it’s too firm leave it at room temperature till it’s okay to handle.
  • Place your toppings on a plate so it’s easy to roll the truffles around.
  • For your choice of nuts lightly roast them and blitz them to form a coarse mixture. 
  • Take a heaped tbsp roll by hand and cover in your preferred mixture. This does get messy so you may need to wash your hands or chill the mixture again if it gets too soft.
  • Store these in an airtight container for 4 days.
