We care deeply about the planet, and we are optimistic that through changing our behaviours we can help preserve and regenerate this earth for future generations.

Each partner we take on answers an extensive questionnaire about their impact on the environment, and we work hand in hand with many to review their packaging solutions.

We have also partnered with Taka Taka Solutions to advise producers on the kind of packaging they use and it’s recyclability. Our company waste is managed by Taka Taka; fortunately we don’t have much as cardboard boxes, polystyrene boxes and any possible packaging is reused and recycled as far as possible.

In our mission to reuse as much as possible, we are the only store in Kenya that offers a full circular economy for glass jars and bottles, whereby you can return them to us and we will then get them back to the producer for reuse. It’s not an easy part of the process, but we are determined to make it work!

As a company, we were the first online store in Nairobi to use an electric vehicle to deliver orders, and we now have three EVs. It’s not easy, but we are relentlessly curious about how we can do things better, and we will always listen if you have ideas for us!

Greenspoon is implementing solar power generation next year and will be fully reliant on it regardless of company growth. We are also increasing our number of electric vehicles which will help us achieve net-zero operations by 2023.
