Canola or Rapeseed Oil is one of the healthiest oils for cooking with, and this is locally produced Kenyan oil from the fertile farms around Mount Kenya.
Canola was initially developed through traditional plant breeding methods, and Pure Mountain Farm Oil uses non GM varieties of canola for its production. Once harvested, the seed is cold pressed to make the oil (which means it is not altered in any way by heat). Simple. The seed cake left over from this process is used for animal feed.
It has a subtle nutty flavour which makes it easy to use for frying, baking, dressings or roasting. It benefits from being versatile and healthy, being packed full of Omega 3, 6, and 9, and Vitamin E, and with half the saturated fat of Olive Oil.
