Situated in the thick forests of the Nguruman Hills, Ol Kerii farm is owned and run by Philip Leakey and his wife Katy. The farm is 100% organic (organic certification is pending), and all open air. The vast majority of the fruits and vegetables are harvested and processed into jams, marmalades and chutneys by local Maasai women, providing them with a much needed and sustainable income. Ol Kerii also gives back to the community through outreach programmes on maternal health and entrepreneurship, thereby supporting the livelihoods of their neighbours the Maasai.
