We discovered this artisan stone mill through Delia Stirling, owner of Brown’s Food Company. She said “If there’s any flour you should be selling, it’s Twajenga”.
Martin Baumgaertner comes from missionary stock, and today he runs Twajenga – a small, artisan stone mill, located near Nakuru. The wheat and grains are sourced from local farmers who Martin assists with their farming techniques and harvesting to get the most out of the crop. They take great care over drying and cleaning the grains before milling them through their stone mill, and then sieving the flour depending on how fine they want the end result to be. We stock Rye, Buckwheat and Wholewheat Flour, all of which are full of flavour and perfect for baking!
