The Hesketh Art Series wines represent the best of our home state, South Australia – one of the most celebrated and diverse growing regions in the world. Grapes for these wines are sourced from only premium growing regions in South Australia which are best suited to each wine style. The wines are then blended before bottling to a fresh, fruit driven style which is perfect for everyday drinking or more salubrious occasions.
BACKGROUND: Fruit for our Bright Young Things Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from premium cool-climate vineyards in the Adelaide Hills and Robe sub-districts of South Australia. Cool climate fruit produces crisp and lively Sauvignon Blanc with intense aromatics and a clean fresh palate. After picking, the parcels of fruit were inoculated with pure yeast strains in stainless steel tanks to ensure a bright and fresh style of wine. The juice was then fermented to dry before blending, fining, filtration and final bottling.
TASTING NOTES: Colour: Bright pale straw with hints of lime. Aroma: Fragrant and lifted aromatics of freshly picked passionfruit, with an herbaceous edge and some hints of lemon and granny smith apple. Palate: Fresh, crisp and clean palate with citrus fruits all nicely integrated with riper flavours filling out the middle palate, before a persistent, vibrant and racy finish. Food Match: Thai soft shell crab. Cellaring: Best enjoyed when young and fresh.
