Years ago, this type of sugar was often found in a shaker (called a caster) and sprinkled on fresh fruits. Its texture is somewhere between regular sugar and icing sugar. Also called super-fine sugar in some places, it’s perfect for light desserts like souffles.
KSL is a family owned business founded in 1943. That was during the war! As the oldest confectionary maker in East Africa, they have a heritage of producing and delivering the best confectionery products for the Kenyan consumer. No wonder they are well-loved by people of all ages, they probably grew up eating their sweets!
