La Vieille Ferme Rosé, 2020

THE VINTAGEThe 2018 vintage is characterised by exceptional weather conditions. Flowering took place in the best possible conditions, with a historically abundant grape output. A few rainy episodes at the end of the spring complicated things a little with an attack of mildew, but the good weather then settled down until harvest, which took place under idyllic conditions.The wines are beautiful.

SITUATIONThis wine is produced from our vineyard Le Grand Prébois in Orange.

TERROIRThere are 2 types of soils at Le Grand Prébois, stone, clay and limestone on one side and gravel and clay on the other.

PROCESSBleeding in stainless steel tanks.

VARIETALSCinsault, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah

TASTING NOTESThis 2018 has finesse and is delicate, well balanced, with a nice minerality and a saline character. It reveals gourmet notes on the palate and a nice length.

SERVINGServe chilled with light foods, Mediterranean dishes or as an aperitif.
