As the soy beans are steamed and fermented over 12-18 months, the colour of a white miso paste slowly shifts to a rusty red (or even sometimes black). The saltiness deepens and the flavours become more intense.
Well known as the healthiest probiotic condiment, enjoy miso as a vegetable dip, soup, meat marinade, noodles with miso soup, just to name a few!
