This is one of the very first of Dion’s grandmother’s creations. She made this chutney back in 1978. She always gave me a jar to take back to school which made me many a friend.
It is a magical sweet mix of fresh ripe pineapple, rasins, garlic and ginger. It is perfect as a condiment for curry lunch. You can use it with ham. It goes well with soft cheese like brie or camembert. She also used it in stir fries. It is so good that could find yourself eating it right out of the jar!
Like all our products it is gluten and additive free and vegan friendly.
Pickled Pink is an artisanal pickle and chutney maker based in Northern Kenya. Dion and his team grow 90% of the vegetables that go into their pickles and sauces; and then lovingly turn them into these delicious condiments.
