Safari Lounge Rhino Conservation Coffee – 250g

The connection from farmer to roaster and coffee-lovers as well as the environment is important to us at Safari Lounge. Through great coffee we can help protect and support the environment. Conservation projects especially in East Africa rely on tourism to help sustain the great work they do in protecting our wildlife. During the global pandemic these projects face an uncertain future and at Safari Lounge, we aim to support them through sales of coffee packs that are specific to a conservation project.

Kenya is home to almost 1800 of the critically endangered rhino’s. The region around Mount Kenya is where most of them are habitat, and that is also where this coffee is sourced from from small holder farms. At 1800 meters up on the volcanic soil slopes fed by glacial waters, the region is ideal for growing this impressive pure arabica coffee.

Safari Lounge have teamed up with Fairmont Hotels and in particular Mara Safari Club and have pledges to donate KES 100 per kilo of coffee directly to Ol Choro Oirouwa Conservancy in helping them protect the two white rhinos that are located there.
