WHB is a state-of-the-art butchery and abattoir in Northern Kenya. All of our livestock is selected from farms and ranches across Laikipia. The steers and lamb are holistically raised and 100% grass-fed, before being slaughtered with respect and compassion. The beef is hung in the cold room for 28 days and the lamb for 5 days before being broken down into different cuts and vacuum-packed for distribution.​​​
This triangular cut comes from the top of the rump region of the cow. It has a beautiful layer of fat. It’s not a muscle that moves much during the animal’s life so it remains tender. The layer of fat lends the meat flavor and juiciness perfect for grilling.
