The leading day spa in Kenya, Serenity Spa, gave birth to Jani Beauty. Since its founding ten years ago, Serenity Spa has grown to employ over 100 people, operate two locations in Nairobi, and add two more this year. Having spent the previous ten years importing goods from Europe and South Africa for use in the spas, Serenity Spa founder Petra Somen thought that there was a need to create a Kenyan brand for beauty items. She also believed that a Kenyan company could highlight the incredible goods that are offered here, and Jani Beauty was established to create a high-end, locally-oriented cosmetics brand that highlighted the best of Kenya.
