Just like terere, spinach belongs to the amaranth family and is related to beets and quinoa. What’s more, it’s considered very healthy, as it’s loaded with nutrients and antioxidants. Eating spinach may benefit eye health and reduce oxidative stress… Popeye was clearly on to something with his can of spinach, as it’s a great source pf Vitamins A, C, K1, folic acid, iron, and calcium. It also contains several other vitamins and minerals, including potassium, magnesium, and vitamins B6, B9, and E.
Spinach is a versatile vegetable and can be eaten in salads and as an accompaniment to meat dishes.
