Red Kidney Beans got their name from their kidney-like shape and colour. They are a rich source of plant-based protein, sometimes also referred to as “the poor man’s meat”. Kidney beans are a good source of several vitamins and minerals, such as molybdenum, folate, iron, copper, manganese, potassium, and vitamin K1. Cirio Red Kidney Beans are shelled at source during harvesting, selected and graded with optical controls and canned within 24 hours, with no other additives.
