The domination of spice cabinets and racks all over the world by cinnamon is a process that started in Ancient Egypt where it was used to season meat before storage. You can still use it to season meaty dishes such as Moroccan chicken, Chicken Shawarma, Indian butter chicken (we’re big fans of chicken in the office????), rice pilau, tacos or beef chillies. And if you’re vegetarian, try adding cinnamon to roasted butternut wedges.
