Mukutan Wild Honey comes from Ol Ari Nyiro Conservancy, 88,000 acres of pure wilderness and wildlife on the edge of Kenya’s Rift Valley. The wild bees here forage on a rich variety of plants, many of which are medicinal from a variety of ecosystems. By buying this honey, you are helping protect the biodiversity of Ol Ari Nyiro, and you are giving jobs to the Pokot youths who are trained in every part of honey production. To make this jar of honey, bees have gathered nectar from one million flowers!
Please note Mukutan wild honey is 100% pure, organic, wild-harvested honey that has never been heated and has a very low water content naturally. Thus, it naturally solidifies. In extremely cold weather, it can be much harder to thaw. Once the honey is solidified its melting temperature is about 45-50 degrees centigrade. A pan full of hot water will drop the temperature very quickly in cold weather. Thus in order to liquefy it, you need to keep adding hot water regularly to a pan.
