Kathy’s is an upcoming enterprise founded in the beautiful highlands of Molo where Katherine and her team have a passion for making delicious organic jams, pastes and chillis for people with a palate for less sugar and a healthier lifestyle.
Katherine says: “This journey started recently during the Covid pandemic out of a need to have less sugar and promote a healthier lifestyle for me, my family and my colleagues. I live and work in Molo where there is lots of fresh produce which, due to the pandemic, was getting spoilt. I decided to support some of the local farmers by buying and adding value to local produce, making jams, chutneys and chilis. The idea became successful within my community and so I stepped out into the Nairobi market. I derive such joy from sharing our tasty products as well as support local farmers and families here in Molo. My long term goal is to scale this enterprise and expand my market within East Africa.”
All of Kathy’s products use real fruits, vegetables and herbs sourced from local, organic farmers and are examined to make sure they are of high quality. They use little sugar and no artificial additives or artificial preservatives, in all products, in order to enhance the natural flavours of the raw ingredients. All Kathy’s products are vegan friendly.
Process
Kathy’s condiments are all homemade with care and cooked to perfection. Customers love the natural, fresh taste of our products! As a company they also aim to be sustainable by using recyclable jars.
